just got back from her mother’s funeral and she wanted to be alone.

There was a light knock on the door and it opened and came in.

“How are you doing?” he asked sitting down next to her on the bed “What are you looking at?

“I found this when I was going through some of mom’s things this morning. It is a picture of you and I and it came with this letter.”

opens the letter and starts to read it.

My Dear Precious Little Girl,

Today is your wedding day and I wanted to give you something that I took when you meet the man of your dreams.

I took this picture of you and when you were young playing in the leaves in the front yard of our house. I know he was the one for you. is a very special guy to have in your life.

Mom

starts to cry.

puts his arm around her shoulders to comfort her and lays her head on his shoulder.

“Come here and look out the window.”

gets up from the bed and walks over to the window.

She looks out the window and sees the view of where the picture was taken.

looks at the picture and remembers that day.

**Ten years earlier**

is in the front yard raking up leaves that have fallen from the trees.

walks down the sidewalk when he sees raking leaves.

“Hi, ”

“Oh, hi, ”

“What are you doing?”

“I am picking up this pile of leaves.”

“Let me help you. Give me the rake and I will do that while you pick up the leaves and put them in the bag.”

hands the rake and he starts raking the leaves.

opens the bag and starts putting the leaves into it.

’s mother walks down the sidewalk from the door and sees them working hard.

“Do you two want something to drink? Hi, ”

“Hi, Mrs. ”

“Sure, mom. I will take some water. How about you, ?”

“I will take some water too.”

“Great, I will back in a few then.” ’s mother says.

She leaves the two of them and walks back into the house.

She goes into the kitchen and gets two glasses and fills them up with water.

She walks towards the door and hears laughter.

She puts the glasses of water down and opens the door and she sees her daughter laughing.

Outside has a hand full of leaves and she throws them at .

starts to laugh at covered with leaves.

shakes his head to get the leaves out off his hair.

“What was that for?”

“I don’t know. I just felt like it.” She answers shrugging her shoulders.

puts the rake down and picks up a pile of leaves and throws them at .

Inside the house ’s mother walks up the stairs to her bedroom and gets her camera out of the closet.

She walks over to the window and sees and throwing leaves at each other.

“This is a perfect picture.” She says before taking the picture

**Back to the present**

“That was a great day. I know I wanted to be with you forever.” says.

looked at and smiled and says “I felt the same way.”

“I am glad that your mother took this picture of us. It is a good memory to have.”

“Yes, it is. Thank you, mom, for taking this picture of us. I love and miss you.”
