* Knock Knock *

“, it’s and . Are you in?” asked as she knocked on the front door of the apartment and started to open the door.

“Do you think she is alright?” asked , concerned for .

“I don’t know sweetheart. All I know is that if the situation was the other way around and I was saying goodbye to you today, then I don’t think I would be in a good way.” replied to ’s question.

“, are you here?” asked as she opened the front door that little bit more and started to walk into the apartment closely followed by .

“Do you want me to go and check some of the rooms to see if I can find her?” asked .

“Thank you sweetheart. I think I will probably find a jacket for and take it to the car.” replied.

Walking away from each other, stayed downstairs and walked towards the living room to see if she could find a jacket for whilst headed towards the stairs to see if he could find .

’s Point Of View
As made his way up the stairs in the house he hoped that he would be able to find the correct room which was in, because hadn’t been answering or himself when they had called out to her.

“I wonder what room is in.” said out loud to himself.

“Well it can’t be too hard as there are only three doors.” He said again.

“Well I guess she isn’t in this one then.” said as he opened and closed the door to a room which looked like a bathroom.

“Well I guess she isn’t in this one either.” said as he opened and closed the door to a room which looked like a spare bedroom.

“Well I guess this is the room.” said as he opened the door to a room which looked like it belonged to and .

As opened the door to a room which looked like it belonged to and , he gasped when he saw dressed in a pair of black trousers and a lilac top sitting on the main bed which she used to share with whilst holding an item of clothing.

“, it’s . Are you alright sweetheart?” asked as he walked in the main bedroom and towards .

“It was his favourite item of clothing, .” told whilst a single tear made its way down both of her cheeks as she fiddled with the item of clothing which used to belong to .

“He used to always moan at me when he was home from touring with the band because I never used to have it washed for when he wanted to wear it.” told whilst another single tear made its way down both of her cheeks.

“I just wish I could turn back the clocks and have him with me again even if it was to hear him moan at me for not washing his favourite shirt.” told as she broke down into tears, which was from all of the emotions which she had been building up that morning.

“Oh sweetheart. I know you miss him so much and I just wish I could turn back the clock as well so that he was here for the both of you.” told , as he patted her growing stomach.

“What am I going to do, ? I don’t want to raise this baby alone. I want to be here with me so that he can experience and see the baby say his or her first word, take his or her first step and grow into a toddler.” told as she broke down into tears.

“Oh sweetheart. I promise you that you will never be alone when it comes to raising this baby as you will always have the support from us, but why don’t we not think about that and concentrate on getting through today.” told , as he tried to comfort her.

A Couple Of Minutes Later
A couple of minutes later and both and were making their way down the staircase towards the front door of the apartment so that they could get into ’s car and head off to the church.

“Oh chick, I am so sorry for everything that has happened. How are you holding up?” asked as she saw both and making their way down the staircase.

“, would you be able to do me a favour?” asked , his girlfriend.

“Yeah, of course.” spoke.

“Would you be able to take to the car for me whilst I try to lock up the apartment? It is just that I do not think is in a state to start worrying about locking doors and shutting windows.” told .

“Yeah, of course.” told .

“Cone on, , why don’t the both of us go and sit in the car whilst we wait for to lock up?” told whilst walking out of the front door of the apartment supporting .

“Thank you, sweetheart.” told .

A Couple Of Minutes Later
A couple of minutes later and , and were all sitting in ’s black peugeot, driving down the main streets of , heading towards the church where they would be saying farewell to a close friend of theirs quite soon.

“Do you know what time all of the guests will be arriving?” asked , whilst sitting in the front of the car with him.

“I am not sure to be honest. I don’t think ’s family will be arriving until a couple of minutes before the service.” replied.

“I can’t imagine what his family must be going through at the moment. I don’t know what I would be like if we were to have a child and we had to attend his or her funeral.” told .

“I understand but we are going to have to be strong today so that we can help ’s family and get through the service.” replied whilst giving ’s hand a squeeze.

“Are you alright, ? It is just that you seem a little quiet.” asked , as he saw sitting in the back of the car playing with the engagement ring which had given to her when he had proposed.

“I was just thinking back to the weekend when took me away to Santa Ponsa of Majorca. I can still remember the night when he took me to the beach and proposed to me underneath the moonlight whilst we enjoyed a picnic.” replied.

“You should have seen how worried he was before he took you away that weekend. He was worried that you were going to turn him down.” joked.

“Is that true? He should have known that I would never have turned him down. I loved him too much to ever turn my back on him.” replied, intrigued by what was telling her.

“I think he knew deep down that you would accept his proposal but he did have these little doubts in the back of his head though. I think he was worried that you wouldn’t like the location or the ring which he had chosen.” joked.

“I could never not like the location which he had chosen to propose to me. It was so romantic. I can still remember him telling me that he was completely bored of sitting in the hotel bar all weekend, and that he had wanted to explore the surrounding areas before we had to leave to come home.” replied, thinking back to the night proposed to her.

“I can still remember him taking my hand and leading me onto the beach where he had laid out a blanket and a picnic for us to enjoy whilst we watched the moonlight and the stars.” replied, thinking back to the night proposed to her.

“I can still remember him telling me that he had never felt the way he had felt for me before, and that he didn’t want the both of us to be apart, but it seems like we have become apart though, haven’t we?” replied, thinking back to the night proposed to her.

“Oh sweetheart, I do not know what I can do or what I can say to make things better for you except that no matter where you are or no matter what you do, will always be there looking over your shoulder, trying to protect you.” replied, hoping that he would be able to comfort .

“Thank you, , that is really sweet of you to say that.” replied, whilst a single tear made its way down her cheek.

A Little While Later
A little while later and after driving down the main roads of , drove his black peugeot up the cobbled driveway of the church and into the car park.

After parking the black peugeot into a free space which he had found in the car park of the church, made his way out of the car and to the passenger door of the car where he helped out of the car.

“Please remember that we are all here for you so if you feel that the service is getting a little too much, then please let me know.” told , as made her way out of the car.

“Thank you , that is really sweet of you to say that.” replied.

“Oh , I am so sorry for everything that has happened. How are you holding up?” asked as she noticed standing beside and in the car park.

“I am alright, thank you.” replied softly, not wanting to show all of her family and friends how much her heart was breaking inside.

“You don’t need to put on a brave face for me. I am one of your closest friends and I know how much this must be hurting you.” told .

“Oh , I am so sorry for everything that has happened. How are you holding up?” asked as she noticed , , and standing beside ’s black peugeot in the car park talking to one another.

“Like I said I am alright, thank you.” replied softly, not wanting to hurt any of her family and friends' feelings when she knew that she was going to need their support.

“Are you sure, , it is just that you don’t look very well considering what is going to be happening later on today.” told .

“Oh , I am so sorry for everything that has happened. How are you holding up?” and asked as they noticed , , , and standing beside ’s black peugeot in the car park talking to one another.

“Will everyone please stop telling me how sorry they are for what has happened to , because I don’t know how much more I can take.” shouted, taking everyone by surprise.

“I am so sorry . I didn’t mean to upset you in any way.” spoke, afraid that she had caused ’s outburst.

“I didn’t mean to shout at you, , because it isn’t your fault at all. I am just a little tired and weak, and I don’t really want people constantly coming up to me telling me how sorry they are. It isn’t going to bring back, is it?” replied, ashamed of the way she had handled the situation.

“Are you alright, ?” asked as she noticed that had turned slightly pale.

“, would you be able to do me a favour?” asked , ’s girlfriend, after spotting her at the other side of the car park.

“Yeah, of course.” spoke as she started to walk towards .

“Would you be able to take away from the car park and the church and possibly go to the garden at the side of the church. It is just that I don’t think she is in a state to start answering everyone’s questions and talking to ’s family.” told .

“Yeah, of course.” told .

“Cone on , why don’t the both of us go and take a walk around the gardens at the side of the church so that we give everyone a chance to turn up and to make their way into the church.” told whilst walking away from the small group of people who had gathered in the car park.

“Thank you.” told .

A Couple Of Minutes Later
A couple of minutes later and both and were walking beside one another through the small garden at the side of the church.

“I am so sorry that you had the job of looking after me this morning. It is just that I am starting to feel like I am becoming a burden now with everyone walking on egg shells around me.” spoke softly.

“I can assure you that you aren’t becoming a burden and people are only walking on egg shells when they are around you because they don’t really know what to say to you.” tried to assure .

“Thank you, . I don’t know what I would do without and yourself because the both of you have been so supportive towards me so far.” spoke softly.

“That is alright, . We all know that it can’t be too easy for you during the last couple of weeks and that is why we are all here for you no matter what happens.” tried to assure .

“I don’t want to make you sadder than what you already are but do you know what you are going to do with regards to the unborn baby?” asked , unsure of whether would want to talk about the unborn baby.

“That’s alright, . I guess I am going to have to think about it sooner or later and as far as I am concerned I am going to have this baby and raise it up properly. I don’t want to give this baby up just because isn’t here in person anymore.” spoke softly.

“Do you know whether you are going to be having a baby boy or a baby girl, or do you not want to know until he or she is born?” asked .

“When and myself found out I was pregnant we both said that we didn’t want to know what sex the baby was until he or she was born. All that mattered to the both of us that either he or she was healthy and was fine.” spoke softly, whilst a single tear made its way down the side of her cheek.

“I can remember when and myself used to stay up quite late at night discussing what activities and what hobbies we would like our baby to do when they start to grow up. used to always tell me how he wanted the baby to be a boy so that he could teach him how to become an actor and how to play sports such as football.” replied, thinking back to the nights they used to stay up.

“I can remember when I told that I wanted the baby to be a girl so that I could dress her up in pretty clothes and style her hair with different accessories. told me that if the baby was to be a girl then he wouldn’t be able to play different sports with her because girls don’t like to get their clothes dirty.” replied, thinking back to the nights they used to stay up.

“It kind of sounds like you had everything planned for when the baby arrived?” asked , intrigued as to what else and had planned for the baby.

“I guess we did kind of have everything planned in advance for when the baby arrived. The only thing which the both of us couldn’t agree on was whether we should hire someone to come in and paint the walls of the nursery.” replied, thinking back to the argument which they had over the theme of the nursery.

“I wanted to hire someone to come in and paint the nursery with a theme of Winnie The Pooh but kept on telling me that instead of hiring someone to do the work, he could do it himself.” replied, thinking back to the argument which they had over the theme of the nursery.

“That sounds about right, although I didn’t know knew how to be an interior designer.” joked.

“He didn’t know how to be an interior designer and that is why I wanted to hire someone to come in and paint the walls. I knew that if I allowed to paint the walls of the nursery then they would have been completely blue and full of pictures of Mariah Carey.” softly spoke, showing a hint of a small smile which hadn’t dared be shown before.

“I am sorry to disturb you girls, but all of ’s family have arrived and the minister is wanting to start the service in a couple of minutes.” spoke, interrupting the two women talking.

“Thank you sweetheart. Could you let the minister know that we will be there in a couple of minutes, if that is alright?” told her boyfriend.

“Yeah, of course.” replied, as he started to walk back towards the main entrance of the church.

“I guess we better be heading into the church now ready for the service.” spoke as she took hold of ’s hand and gave it a gentle squeeze, trying to assure her that they were all there for her today.

“I guess.” mumbled.

The Funeral Service
A couple of minutes later and after finding her seat next to and in the church, noticed the minister who was going to be taking the service motioning for the coffin to be brought down to the front of the church.

“He would be so proud of you for the way you are handling things.” whispered in ’s ears as he saw the coffin being brought down to the front of the church.

Unable to answer due to all of the emotions which were going through her body and her mind as she saw the coffin which was carrying her partner inside, just shrugged her shoulders in reply to the comment which had made.

“I would like to begin this service by saying thank you to all of those who have attend this service to say farewell to a brother, friend, partner and son who will always be remembered in our hearts.” The minister began speaking.

“ was a caring, gentle, kind and warm hearted man who always tried his hardest to care and protect those who were important to him. Unfortunately he will be leaving those people who mattered the most to him behind so that he can join the angels above.” The minister began speaking.

“I would like to ask for God’s advice, guidance and support in helping those who has left behind. For ’s family, , , and , I ask for God’s guidance in helping them to be able to continue on with their lives.” The minister began speaking.

“For ’s friends, , and , I ask for God’s guidance in helping all of them to be able to continue on with their careers.” The minister began speaking.

“For ’s partner, , I ask for God’s guidance and protection in helping her and the unborn baby to be able to continue on with their lives.” The minister began speaking.

“, I think you should take a seat.” told , as he noticed the colour of ’s face drain when the minister mentioned the unborn baby.

Unable to reply due to all of the emotions which were going through her body and her mind as she heard the minister mention ’s name and the unborn baby in one sentence, just shrugged her shoulders in reply to the comment which had made.

“It is going to be alright, I am here for you.” told , whilst giving her hand a little squeeze.

“I would like us to commend to the mercy of God, our maker and redeemer.” The minister began to speak as he stood next to the coffin.

“I would like us to say a prayer of entrusting whilst the coffin is carried out of the church and placed in its final resting place.” The minister began to speak.

“God our creator and redeemer by your power Christ conquered death and entered into glory. Confident of his victory and claiming his promises, we entrust to your mercy in the name of Jesus our Lord who died and is alive, and reigns with you now and for ever.” The minister and all of the people in the church spoke together.

At ’s Parents House
After the service in the church had finished, all of ’s family and friends who had attended the church service travelled to ’s parent’s house where a couple of plates of food had been laid out.

“Hello , do you mind if I sit next to you?” asked as he noticed a spare place on the sofa which was sitting on.

“Oh hello , yeah you can sit there if you would like to.” spoke, as she motioned for to sit next to her.

“Don’t you just wish that you had a penny for all of the times when someone has asked how you are or for all of the times when someone has told you how sorry they are for you.” said looking at .

“So I take it then that I am not the only one who has had enough of it as well then?” said.

“I know that I am probably being selfish by saying that, but I just wish everyone would leave me alone so that I can grieve for in my own time and in my own way.” said.

“You aren’t being selfish, . You are just trying to grieve for in your own time and in your own way but it can’t be easy when you have loads of people either staring at you or telling you how sorry they are.” said.

“Anyway I am really sorry but I had better be going now. I think I should go and check up on dad and on mum to see how they are holding up.” spoke, as he got up from the sofa where he had been sitting.

“You know , would be really proud of you for the way you are handling everything and for the way you are looking after everyone.” spoke, causing a smile to appear on ’s face.

“Thank you, and please remember that I am always here for you if you ever need to take a break from what is happening.” winked at , before walking away to see if he could find his parents.

A Couple Of Minutes Later
A couple of minutes later and after watching all of ’s family and friends trying to grieve in their own time and in their way own whilst talking to each other at the wake, knew that she couldn’t grieve for unless she was on her own.

“, I really don’t mean to be a burden but would you be able to take me back to the apartment, please? It is just that I don’t feel that comfortable being here and I just want to spend some time alone.” told .

“Are you sure you should be alone in this situation?” asked .

“Has something happened or has someone said something to you?” asked .

“I am fine, thank you. I just feel that I need some time alone so that I can start to grieve for , and I know that I won’t be able to do that here with everyone whispering about me.” replied.

“Yeah, of course. Would you just be able to give me a couple of minutes so that I can grab my car keys and let know where I am going.” asked .

“Yeah, of course. I am just going to go and say goodbye to a few people anyway.” told .

A Little While Later
A little while later and after driving down the main roads of , drove his black peugeot up the cobbled driveway of the apartment which used to share with .

“Are you sure you are going to be alright on your own? I don’t mind coming in for a couple of minutes if that would be any better for you?” asked, unsure of whether was going to be alright.

“Thank you, , but I really need to be on my own at the moment.” replied.

“Well if you insist, but please remember that me and the rest of the lads are only a telephone call away if you ever need someone to talk to.” told , making sure she knew that they were all there for her.

“Thank you, , and please remember to tell the other lads that I am grateful for everything what they have done so far.” told .

“Yeah, of course.” spoke.

“Well I had better be going then because and the others will probably be wondering where I have got to.” told .

“Bye , and thank you once again.” replied, whilst waving to as he drew off in his black peugeot down the main roads of back to ’s parent’s house.

After watching ’s car fade away in the distance, walked down the cobbled driveway and to the front door of the apartment.

After unlocking the front door of the apartment which she used to share with , walked into the living room towards the stereo player whilst memories of everything which she had done and which she had shared with started coming back to her.

Turning on the stereo player, walked towards the fireplace which and herself used to make love in front of on many occasions, and just sat there rocking herself backwards and forwards whilst a song from Avril Lavigne started playing in the background.

“What am I going to do without you? Why did you have to leave me, ?” said out loud whilst breaking down emotionally.
